Wednesday March 4,2009 it was hovering just over 19 degrees in Rudee Inlet, Va. Beach. I knew there would be ice on the Inlet, so I headed out for some shots of HOPEFULLY the last cold day of the Winter. The forecast call for 60-70 degree temps this weekend-so good-bye ice (I hope).
I was lucky enough to catch Al Bevan & Crew towing out the "Rudee Inlet II" from the Dredge Shop. They were headed out to maintain the channel in Rudee Inlet. WIth out their hard work, the Inlet would fill in with sand, shutting down the fishing and pleasure boating out of Rudee.
Special props to Capt. KP leading the charge thru the ice in the Jon Boat. Lonnie, you must be proud.
